Guy Perry is President, Cities & Strategy, of the Essel Group in Mumbai, India; concurrently he serves as a Senior Advisor for McKinsey and Co. throughout the world. Prior to that Guy was Executive Director, Buildings and Places, Asia Pacific at AECOM. In 2000 Guy founded IN-VI to develop best practices in transition markets where has planned and led the development of Europe’s largest new district of the 21st century, Central Europe’s largest urban regeneration and conceived new development patterns for urban extensions in Brazil and North Africa. He was Senior vice President of TrizecHahn, one of the world’s leading real estate development companies at the time and was a past vice-president at HOK, based at its headquarters in Saint Louis.
Guy has a particular emphasis on the built environment and leads cross disciplinary teams which include planners, architects, engineers, scientists and management and construction services professionals in redefining standard for development and human wellbeing focused environments. His work has received the highest accolades from ULI, ISOCARP, FIABCI, the Bloomberg International Property Awards and the Architectural Review. He has received fellowships from the SOM foundation and ULI, he also led the Smithsonian Institutions’ first and only Emmy Award winning production: Dream Window, reflections on the Japanese Garden. Guy has taught design and development studios at the University of Hong Kong, MIT and Harvard University.
