Xue, Fan 薛帆

Dr. Xue, Fan (Frank) is an Assistant Professor with the Department of Real Estate and Construction (REC), The University of Hong Kong (HKU). Frank has an interdisciplinary background in Automation (BEng), Computer Science (MSc), Industrial and Systems Engineering (PhD), and Construction Management (PostDoc – present). He is member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), member of the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM), and secretary of ACM Hong Kong Chapter. His research interests include:

  • Computational challenges in construction and cities,
  • Urban semantics in 3D point clouds, BIM, GIS and IoT,
  • Operations research, and
  • Applied machine learning.

Office hours may be subject to change at short notice. Students are advised to make appointments for, inter alia, academic advising, dissertation and other learning related meetings with individual teacher during their office hours in advance.
