Thera Lu is a post-doctoral fellow in the Department of Real Estate and Construction at the University of Hong Kong (HKU). Her research interests lie primarily in real estate economics and investment. She is keen on applying economic theories to explain the trends and patterns in real estate markets, such as price movements, abnormal returns and pricing strategies. Thera obtained her PhD degree from HKU in 2022. During her PhD study, she explored the price patterns of first-hand residential developments and investigated the sales strategies of developers in Hong Kong. Also, she had been a teaching assistant for over 3 years in the courses for undergraduate and master students, including Real Estate Finance and Real Estate Economics & Investment. Before her PhD journey, Thera received a Master of Science in Real Estate (Distinction) from HKU and a Bachelor of Management in Land Management from Zhejiang University (ZJU).
