John Wong has fifty years of experience of architectural design and development management in Hong Kong. His past projects focus on the following areas, private and public housing developments, private villas, commercial buildings, shopping malls, hotels, college campus master planning, hospitals, industrial buildings, primary and secondary schools, renovation of Christian churches, master planning for commercial and domestic neighbourhoods, conservation of heritage buildings both in Hong Kong and mainland China.
John Wong received his Bachelor of Architecture from University of Hong Kong and Master of Architecture from University of Toronto, Canada. He was also DAAD scholarship holder and Research Assistant at the Institut für Leichte Flächentragwerke, Universität Stuttgart, Germany, under Professor Frei Otto.
John Wong has made important contributions to the architecture community as President of the Hong Kong Institute of Architects (2003), Chairman of HKIA Board of Internal Affairs (1981) and Chairman of HKIA Architects Registration Committee (1990).
