Sun, Yi 孙壹

Sun Yi is an architectural designer, researcher, and Assistant Lecturer at the University of Hong Kong. Her research interests lie in socio-political issues and their spatial implications, such as the one-child policy, women’s labor, and migration created by infrastructure construction.

She has been leading projects focusing on rural development in China with Rural Urban Framework at HKU. Research projects include housing solutions for 500 relocated families, community-centered healthcare typologies, and village planning during rural-urban transformation.

Yi holds a Bachelor of Architecture from Pratt Institute and a Master of Science in Advanced Architectural Design from GSAPP Columbia University.
