Emidio a chartered structural engineer with broad experience in large-scale and complex projects across the world. Using engineering first-principles and computation, he unleashes the power of engineering and leads multidisciplinary teams towards the future of design, fabrication, and construction. As the Asia Computational Projects Lead for Buro Happold , he works with all engineering disciplines to enable mass-participation in computation by implementing computation on all projects. He is an early contributor to the open-source Buildings and Urban Habitat Object Model (BHoM) and believes the open-source era of AEC represents the future of our industry – design professionals who can communicate and design using code. As such, he is passionate about teaching younger engineers and architects computational methodologies that will help them throughout their career. As part of his work as an Adjunct Assistant Professor, Emidio has taught electives to Masters students on cutting edge computational techniques as well as Building Technology courses to undergraduate students.
Emidio is also the founder of The Computational Engineer – an online platform which is the world’s first platform to teach and credential engineers in coding and parametric design skills.
