Project Summary: Early waterworks have shaped Hong Kong like no other, boasting an interplay of remarkable feats of engineering and architecture, fascinating history and heritage, and spectacular natural scenery. Inspired by the accidental discovery of the Bishop Hill service reservoir and its resonances, this project aims to visualize and recollect a spectrum of heritage waterworks through 3D web GIS-based visualization Web App, hybrid public talks, guided tours and educational visits to a heritage waterworks exhibition at HKU and/ or the H2OPE Center for infrastructure-related professionals, policy makers, practitioners engaged in eco-heritage tourism, and the public locally and internationally.
