Background
The main objectives of the Targeted Taught Postgraduate Programmes Fellowships Scheme are to attract more meritorious local students to pursue further studies in priority areas conducive to the development of Hong Kong, and to encourage universities to establish more innovative and multi-disciplinary programmes that are beneficial to society. MSc(Urban Analytics) is selected by the University Grants Council for the 2023/24 scheme as the programme is considered to be in the priority area of Sustainable City which is of strategic importance to Hong Kong. Eight fellowships are allocated to the programme. Students offered the fellowships will each receive an award of HK$120,000 to help offset the programme fee, and will only need to pay the remaining fee of HK$82,880.
Eligibility*
*Non-local students holding (a) student visa/entry permit; (b) visa/entry permit under the Immigration Arrangements for Non-local Graduates; or (c) dependent visa/entry permit who were 18 years old or above when they were issued with such visa/entry permit by the Director of Immigration are NOT eligible for the fellowship.
The selection is merit-based, considering the applicant’s academic achievements, professional qualifications, relevant work experience, achievements in other areas, and the applicant’s proposal on how he/she can contribute to the priority area (Sustainable City) of Hong Kong after completing the programme.

Up to two awards shall be awarded annually to full-time postgraduate students who are permanent residents in Hong Kong and who have been admitted to the MUA programme, on the basis of academic merit, publication of undergraduate dissertation, academic-related activities and achievements.
