Admission Talk:

To be eligible for admission, candidates

(a)    shall comply with the General Regulations and the Regulations for Taught Postgraduate Curricula; and

(b)    shall hold

  • Preferably a professional qualification in the urban or related fields (if applying for Part-time study mode); and
  • a Bachelor’s degree with honours in the urban or related fields of this University; or
  • a qualification of equivalent standard of this University or another university or comparable institution accepted for this purpose;
  • preferably a professional qualification in the urban or related fields; and
  • satisfy the examiners in a qualifying examination if required.

(c) English Requirement

Applicants with qualifications from a university or comparable institution outside Hong Kong where the language of teaching or examination is not English are required (unless exceptionally exempted) to obtain:

  • a score of 550 or above (paper-based test) or 80 or above (internet-based test) in the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL); or
  • a minimum overall band of 6.5 with no subtest lower than 5.5 in the International English Language Testing System (IELTS); or
  • grade C or above in either the Overseas General Certificate of Education, the International General Certificate of Secondary Education, or the Cambridge Test of Proficiency in English Language.

Programme Fee:

The  programme fee for 2021 intake is HK$ 184,000 (subject to approval) for both 1-year full-time and 2-year part-time study. The programme fee shall be paid by 2 instalments, at HK$ 92,000 each for the one-year full-time programme, and by 4 instalments at HK$46,000 each for the two-year part-time programme.

Required Documents:

Transcripts, diplomas, certificates, English language official score reports and other submitted documents which are NOT in English should be accompanied by a certified translation in English. Certified translation may be provided by your home institution.

  • Complete official transcript of undergraduate studies (original/certified true copy*)
  • Graduate certificate of undergraduate studies (certified true copy*)
  • Reference reports (from two referees)
  • TOEFL / IELTS transcript (if appropriate)

* Please note that the University will only ACCEPT originals or copies of the documents that have been duly declared as true copies before a notary public.  Copies of documents may be certified by the appropriate officials of your home institute if you are an overseas applicant.  No photocopies will be accepted.

Interview:

 Only shortlisted applicants will be invited for an interview. Shortlisted applicants will be informed by email in due course.
