This is a recollection of the foundational importance of boundary delineation as town planning and demonstrate its present relevance.
About the Speaker:
Prof. Lawrence W. C. LAI is town planner with degrees in economics, planning (on a Commonwealth Scholarship) and law, a full time teacher of HKU from 1989 having completed a 5-year tour in the Hong Kong Polytechnic, the Town Planning Office and EPD. He served on the Board of Review (IRO), Appeal Board (TPO), Building Appeal Tribunal and Transport Tribunal. He is interested in aquaculture, public buses and local military heritage conservation etc.
