Lecture Synopsis:

“More than a Building” is about building public space at the same time that we are making a building. To escape from the idea of making buildings as objects, to escape from the idea of making building only used for the function for which they are created. Buildings capable to create something more than a building, this kind of constructions that are able to configure space around: under, on, behind, next to, above…them…. The Research that we are making in my office from the nineties to nowadays. Each one of these buildings, each one of the Public Spaces that these buildings generate are connected with a concept, and all these concepts are in the aim of these projects.
