Go Hasegawa is an architect based in Tokyo. Born in Saitama in 1977, he graduated with a Master of Engineering from the Tokyo Institute of Technology in 2002, after which he worked at Taira Nishizawa Architects before establishing Go Hasegawa and Associates in 2005. He later received his Ph.D. in Engineering from the Tokyo Institute of Technology in 2015. He has taught as a lecturer at the Tokyo Institute of Technology (2009 – 2011), a visiting professor at the Academy of Architecture of Mendrisio (2012 – 2014), the Oslo School of Architecture and Design (2014), the University of California in Los Angeles (2016) and the Harvard University Graduate School of Design (2017 and 2019). He has won numerous awards and has made many publications such as Go Hasegawa Works (TOTO Publishing, 2012), Go Hasegawa Conversations with European Architects (LIXIL Publishing, 2015), a+u 556: Go Hasegawa (A+U Publishing, 2017), El Croquis 191: Go Hasegawa (El Croquis, 2017) and Besides, History: Go Hasegawa, Kersten Geers, David Van Severen (CCA/Koenig Books, 2018).
