Lecture Title: Green Our Earth

About the Speaker:

Vo Trong Nghia was born in Quang Binh province, Vietnam, in 1976. He studied architecture in Japan as a student on the Japanese government’s scholarship. After graduation from the University of Tokyo, he returned to Vietnam and started his own architectural office in Vietnam, Vo Trong Nghia Architects since 2006. He creates sustainable architecture through using environmentally – friendly materials such as bamboo.

Lecture Synopsis:

Vietnamese cities are losing its greenery and tropical characters because of the recent modernization and urbanization. Our target is to increase greenery as much as possible, to recover the tropical lifestyle in harmony with the nature.

Green building criteria is introduced through the completed works such as Stacking Green (2011), Stone House (2012), House for Trees (2013) and Farming Kindergarten (2013).

This lecture is open to the general public.
