This session engages in the multiple meanings of speculation and their significance to design and its methods. To speculate is to reflect or meditate on something; it may also refer to certain risky economic activities aimed at profit. To speculate implicitly gestures toward the future, and as such, carries particular architectural meaning in relation to how designers imagine and ultimately enact their work.
