Chan Koon Chung 陳冠中
Lecture Title: Heterotopia & Spatial Politics
Chan Koonchung is a novelist born in Hong Kong and currently based in Beijing. He is the “Writer of the Year” at the 2013 Hong Kong Book Fair. His 2009 novel The Fat Years has been translated into 13 languages. His 2015 novel The Second Year of Jianfeng: An Alternative History of New China has been selected as “Twenty Chinese Novels 2000-2015” by National Culture and Arts Foundation, Taiwan.

Sampson Wong 黃宇軒
Lecture Title: Be water: Hong Kong Protests & Urbanism
Dr. Sampson Wong is an artist, independent curator, academic and urbanist based in Hong Kong. He is currently Lecturer at Department of Liberal Arts Studies, Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts. He engages in art-making, curatorial practice, teaching, research and writing, and sees them as intellectual means exploring issues about urbanism, space, power and freedom. His research interests also include politics of epidemics and various Hong Kong studies. He is now writing about plagues in Hong Kong, urbanism and art, and Hong Kong’s Umbrella Movement.
