Biography

Catherine Lassen is an architect and full-time academic in architecture at the University of Sydney. She has curated exhibitions such as Thinking Drawing / Working Drawing on Glenn Murcutt (Tokyo: Gallery Ma, 2008) with an accompanying book (Toto, 2008) that newly underlined architectural construction drawings in his design working method. In Companions to the History of Architecture (Wiley 2017) her chapter on Murcuttextended this reading of his work. Her architectural projects have been awarded and published both in Australia and internationally; her work was exhibited at the Venice Architecture Biennale in 2008 and 2014. Designs she completed for site-specific art works in collaboration with Yoko Ono formed part of a major retrospective, War Is Over! (if you want it): Yoko Ono, at the MCA Sydney.
