Abstract

Climate change, carbon neutrality, circular economy and green economy have now become important drivers for planning and management of future cities around the world and in Hong Kong. Coupled with rapid development of 3D/4D Geographical Information System and digital twins, these drivers present enormous challenges and opportunities for planners and engineers around the world. This seminar will present such challenges and opportunities from a strategic planning and city management perspective and how planners and engineers may rise to the challenges and seize such opportunities to create a more sustainable city.
