The “Conference on Materials, Techniques and Construction Management of Heritage Architecture in Mainland China and Hong Kong” was held on Sunday, 2 December 2012.

It was supported by the Development Bureau and Commissioner for Heritage’s Office, as well as all the major building-related professional institutes – architecture, architectural conservation, engineering, planning, project management and surveying. It was attended by about 200 participants who are mostly practicing professionals in fields directly or indirectly related to architectural conservation. The Secretary for Development, Mr. Paul Chan Mo-po, gave the opening remarks, while the Dean of Faculty of Architecture, Prof. David Lung, gave the closing remarks.
