Over the years, the University has stepped up measures to upgrade the quality of the RPG intake as well as output. The former includes: (1) mandatory English language test for applicants from a non-English-language tertiary education background; (2) a masters degree with First Class Honors or Second Class Upper Division; (3) a research proposal. The latter includes a thesis examination system involving external and internal examiners. The primary supervisor cannot be an examiner. The Graduate School is the overall administrative institution in charge of policy, rules, regulations, examination procedures, and quality.
